The Bill (Reg. No.2465) envisages extra safeguards for the persons who adopted an orphan or a child deprived of parental care since 1 January 2009.
The Committee members support the idea of enhancing financial support and granting extra safeguards to the persons who adopted an orphan or a child deprived of parental care. However, the Committee members believe that the Law "On Amendments to certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine concerning State Support of Families that adopted an Orphan or a Child deprived of Parental Care" already includes the majority of the proposed regulations.
In compliance with Clause 94 of the Standing Orders of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Committee resolved to address the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a request to return the Bill to the subject of legislative initiative without its scrutiny at the plenary meeting.
